Faith in Action Community Connections needs your financial support to continue its work. We do not receive any federal or state funding at this time and rely entirely on community fundraising, small grants and individual donations.*

In the five years since its beginning, Faith in Action Community Connection has brought real help to older and disabled adults in Hancock County.

When you lose your mobility, your independence is threatened. Often simple things can become overwhelming.

Things like not being able to get to a medical appointment or the grocery store can make it impossible to remain in your own home.

Faith in Action volunteers are friends that make it possible to continue to live with dignity and independence. Knowing that someone will check on your elderly parent while you are at work and stop by for a friendly visit or to deliver a hot meal can relieve a huge burden of stress for a family caregiver.

The need for Faith in Action Community Connection is clear. The program has become an important part of the community.

There is no charge for Faith in Action’s services. However, the program cannot continue without financial support from the community. At this time, we receive no Federal or State funds; our funding comes entirely from fundraisers, small grants, local municipalities and private donations.

The Board has set a fundraising goal of $50,000 for 2008 to meet our budget.

Please help us to keep this important and innovative program going in Hancock County

  • The emphasis of the program is on helping people maintain independence and dignity. It is based on the simple premise of neighbors helping neighbors.

  • In its first 36 months, FIACC has already helped more than 225 residents. Over 134 volunteers have logged nearly 16,000 hours of service in that time period.

  • 95% of our requests for help are for transportation. We receive referrals from health care providers, other volunteer organizations, family members, neighbors and churches.
*We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
